Online encyclopedia. This will be a useful tool no matter what topic you are looking up!

These are all subscriptions, which means they require a username and password. Please see Miss Gress if you are prompted for one.

Brain Pop
There are tons of great videos on Brain Pop about a variety of topics you are studying including sharks, jellyfish and volcanoes. You can use the search bar once you get in. Don't forget to check out the Q & A section after your video for more information.
TrueFlix
These are non fiction eBooks that you can read on the computer. Make sure to also look under the "explore more" section to find extra information and to be taken to additional websites. For this project look under "Ecosystems", "Earth Science", "Continents", and "Extreme Nature"
World Book Online
This is another online encyclopedia that will work for any topic you are searching for.

Ref Seek
This is a search engine, just like Google is a search engine. However, Ref Seek will not have ads and the answers will generally be of a more academic nature.

National Geographic
National Geographic's website will allow you to search for almost every subject on you teacher's list!

National Center for Ecology and Synthesis
It sounds like a tough name, but this is the kids version. Click to find out about ecosystems, animals and to get more links.
Discovery Kids
Search for information about a variety of topics for this project.
Environmental Protection Agency
This is a link to their student center. Use the search bar to see if your topic is under protection.
Fact Monster
This is the science section of fact monster...see if your topic is listed.
Global Ministries
Read about kids who grew up as missionaries, or whose parents are missionaries.
Smithsonian's History of Cannibalism
Are you learning about cannibals? Look into their history, but maybe don't listen to the food reviews!
Outrigger Canoeing
This document has some great information about this sport as it is done in Hawaii.
