Students will learn about the different library sections and the materials available here at GVE: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Paperback, Biography, and Reference. We will review the types of call numbers that go with each section and how to look them up on the Destiny Online Card Catalog.

Students may complete up to 4 Power Readers activities to earn stamps in their passports. They may read independently to earn lines for their classroom reading logs or write book reviews for titles found in the Destiny Online Card Catalog.
Students will complete one of the 4 Bloxel activities to earn a stamp in their passports. Click the link to watch each activities' video before starting.
Students will complete 6 "Question of the Week" and/or self-selected topics (pre-approval needed) to locate information in order to earn stamps in their passports. They will independently use print and/or digital sources to answer the question or solve the problem. They will use evidence from text and note-taking skills to summarize their findings and cite their resource(s).
Students may complete up to 6 Dewey Decimal activities to earn stamps in their passports. Students will independently use print and/or digital sources to locate books from different areas of the 10 main Dewey Decimal categories, then complete reviews for each book.
Students will complete one of the 4 Spring Ant Observation activities to earn a stamp in their passports.

Students will complete one of the 4 LANGUAGE MASTER activities to earn a stamp in their passports.

Students will use online resources to practice their familiarity with the home keys on a keyboard. Then they will practice their typing skills until they achieve 25 words per minute (wpm) and 90-100% accuracy in order to earn each stamp in their passport.
Students will complete one of the 4 weather station activities to earn a stamp in their passports. Before starting, students MUST click the link at the bottom of the box to watch the video which explains how the weather monitor works.
